Similarities in the Art and Culture of my state/UT with the paired state/ UT
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat campaign, a Prime Ministerís flagship programe for national integration. My state Uttar Pradesh is paired with Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh under the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme. 
The Culture of Uttar Pradesh has its roots in Hindi and Urdu literature, music, fine arts, drama and cinema. This state is home of one of the first classical dances of India, Kathak and  folk dances or folk theatre forms which include Raslila, Swang, Ramlila, Nautanki, and Qawwali. 
Uttar Pradesh is famous for its rich heritage of art and craft. Agra since the Mughal era has been home to numerous Mughal crafts. Aligarh is famous for its Zari work, Firozabad, for bangles and glass accessories, Kannauj for oriental perfumes, Khurja for its ceramics pottery. Lucknow, is famous  for embroidery (chikan) work. Allahabad (Prayagraj) is known for its National Institute of Art & Craft College. Bhadohi is known for its carpets, Moradabad for its metal-ware ,Saharanpur is known for its wood-carving items ,Varanasi  for Banarasi saris and silk, Gorakhpur for terracotta statues and Nizamabad is famous for black pottery.
Meghalaya, is one of the most beautiful states in North-East India offering a variety of sights, activities, food and festivals to the tourists. Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and has a lot of left over British colonial influence. Meghalaya has a history of rich craftsmanship, and wood-carving and artistic weaving are famous crafts here, especially in the Jaintia and Khasi districts. 
Arunachal Pradesh. It is a state in Northeast India , literally known as a "land of dawn-lit mountains. Itanagar is the state capital of Arunachal Pradesh. It comprises of 26 different tribes .Arunachal Pradesh is gifted with traditional craftsmen. Local men are skilled in weaving, carpet making, wood carving, painting, pottery, ornament making, cane and bamboo work, smithy work, basketry and many others. The women are expert in making handicrafts and handlooms.
Dance and music are an essential part of the life of Arunachali tribes. They dance and sing on important occasions and during the time of festivities and weddings. They can broadly be divided into four categories- Festive Dances, Ritual Dances, Recreational Dances and Dance Dramas.
